Women's Peer Support Worker

Salary:  £17,235 per annum, pro rata (Health in Mind Scale pt. 15, fixed point)
Hours: 29 hours per week
Location: Bonnyrigg and working at various locations across Midlothian
Contract: 12 months

As part of a pilot project funded by MELDAP (Midlothian and East Lothian Drug and Alcohol Partnership) we are recruiting a Women’s Peer Support Worker with lived experience.

The post will provide and promote peer support to women living with and recovering from mental health issues, substance misuse and involvement with criminal justice.

Support will be provided to people at different phases of their recovery from initial engagement through to options for linking with other services, education, training, volunteering and employment.

The successful candidate will provide service user led one-to-one support for women through promoting choice, well-being and recovery.
