Online Course: Boundaries, Contracting and Containment

This online training is made up of two 2¼ hour sessions with a 15-minute break. This training will be  on Wednesday 6 & 13 October 2021, from 12.45 to 3.00pm each day.


To explore the participants understanding of boundaries, contract and containment and how these ideas can support them in their work.

This course will enable participants to:

  • Understand the effect of trauma and adverse childhood experiences on boundaries
  • Understand the role of contracting and containment in supporting effective relationships.
  • Explore the potential challenges to boundaries in providing support to traumatised individuals.
  • Reflect on their work using their own practice examples

Jean Budge is Health in Mind's Trauma and Development Lead. She is a very experienced psychotherapist and supervisor of counselling and support services. She led Health in Mind’s Trauma Support services for many years and designed and delivered a range of levels of training that ensure our practice stays trauma informed and adheres to good practice.

This online course will be delivered through Zoom.

Training bookings on Eventbrite are best paid for by credit or debit card using Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

If you need to cancel your booking and give more than 30 days’ notice, we will refund 50% of your fee. If due to unforeseen circumstances we have to change the course date, and it is not suitable for you, we will refund 100% of the payment.
