Short-term support service

Our Trauma Support Service also has a new short term service for people living in Edinburgh. It’s a phone support service for people aged 55+ who have experienced trauma and are struggling at the moment due to COVID-19.

Support will be delivered by experienced, registered staff, and will be available for 12 weeks. It will focus on the specific actions that people can take to help improve their mental health and wellbeing, including developing coping strategies, managing anxieties and building self-confidence. This will also include providing a range of resources and activities which will be posted to people that offer lasting tools for wellbeing, or connecting people in to other local supports that may be available to them.

For more information or to refer yourself to the service, please email kerry.girdwood@health-in-mind.org.uk or tammy.kirk@health-in-mind.org.uk.
