Anna Chmiel, our Support and Development Worker is planning new groups in Stockbridge to support mental health and wellbeing in the community.

Anxiety Management Course 

Do you experience mild to moderate anxiety?
Are you interested in exploring coping strategies in a supportive group environment?

The course is open to people over 18 living in Stockbridge.

The focus will be to learn what self care strategies can prevent anxiety, how to manage symptoms when they appear and what might be helpful after an episode of anxiety.

The course will be held at Number 7 (7 Raeburn Pl) and it will start on Tuesday 4 February 2020 running over six consecutive weeks with a follow up session one month later.

Dates: Tuesday 4 February, Tuesday 11 February, Tuesday 18 February, Monday 24 February, Tuesday 3 March, Tuesday 10 March and Tuesday 7 April.

Times: 6pm to 8pm

Depression and Anxiety Support Group 

The group is a supportive environment where people experiencing anxiety, depression and low mood can share their thoughts and feelings or just to be present. It is led by a volunteer with lived experience and it creates a space for people to connect with others in a similar situation and to learn positive coping strategies from one another.

Where: The Stockbridge Library
When: Alternate Mondays starting on 2 March at 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
