Peer to Peer Wellbeing

The Peer-to-Peer Wellbeing groups will provide an environment for people with mental health difficulties to come together. It will focus on specific activities each week, invite a variety of guest speakers to deliver activities or information sessions, and will encourage members to consider their personal goals in relation to attending the group.

The activities delivered will be developed based on the suggestions on an ongoing basis from those who attend. Some of the areas which we focus on include, confidence and self-esteem, assertiveness, self-management tools and practical support options and information. 

These groups will operate a rolling programme, and activities will be repeated throughout the year.

It is open to anyone aged 16 or over living in the Scottish Borders and we accept self-referrals.

Current groups

Walking and talking can both be good ways to get things off your chest, figure things out or even just to socialise a little.

We invite you to our current walk and talk sessions which we are running in person across the Scottish Borders. These groups are more about the talking than the walking! So don’t worry if you don't feel at your fittest.

Each group will work together to make sure everyone can take something positive from experience.

To help everyone feel safe, we will be keeping group numbers low and maintaining safe distancing throughout all of our walks. 

Upcoming dates, times and locations

Saturday 11 September 10 am - 12 noon in Hawick and Kelso

Wednesday 15 September 6 pm - 8 pm in Galashiels and Duns

Wednesday 22 September 3 pm - 5 pm in Hawick and Kelso
