This page will include all of the latest updates from our services in the Scottish Borders. It will continue to be updated, so please do keep checking in.

SPRING Social Prescribing

While we are required to socially distance ourselves, SPRING will be offering a ‘Connect Well’ Service. Connect Well will offer regularly weekly social support, information and signposting via telephone, sms, social media or video from our Social Prescriber.

Clients can contact Rachel directly using the contact details below to discuss accessing this support or can be referred in by their GP practices. We are operating a shortened referral procedure for GPs at this time to limit the burden this will have on their time.

Re:discover Borders

Re:discover is offering telephone support to existing clients and volunteers on a weekly basis, if required. New referrals will be contacted via telephone and provided the opportunity of regular telephone support but formal matches will be postponed for now.

We may also look at offering digital matches in the coming weeks if people would find this of benefit.

To keep supporting people who use our Resolve service, we are now offering telephone and video counselling. We understand that this isn’t suitable for everyone, and some people have opted to put their counselling on hold until face to face counselling is available.

All new clients who are ready to start counselling will be offered telephone or video counselling until face to face counselling resumes.

If you need any further information, please contact our counselling team who will be happy to answer any of your questions For more information on Resolve counselling, please see here.

Trauma Counselling Line Scotland

Our Trauma Counselling Line, a free telephone counselling service for adults who experienced abuse in childhood, is continuing as normal.

Wellbeing College

Courses and resource hubs are currently suspended. Personal Tutors are offering one to one telephone support for 30 minutes. The focus of these calls will be to check in about general health and wellbeing and ensure people are able to access the support and services they need.

Tutors will also offer a space to consider what they might focus their time and their minds on over the coming weeks, perhaps considering reconnecting with an old friend on the phone, giving a jigsaw a go or getting the old photo albums out for a bit of air. Whatever it is, the Personal Tutors will be there to help you make this possible.

We are currently exploring opportunities to deliver some of our courses online so watch this space!

For anyone interested in a Personal Tutor appointment they can email us at or call us on 01896 807 000.
