Writing can often be a great way to improve our mental health and wellbeing. This beautiful poem was shared by Tony, a member of one of our wellbeing workshops:
'To love yourself is the greatest love of all
It is a process, a learning curve
LIVE IN YOUR LIGHT OF HOPE, THAN IN THE IMAGE OF DARKNESS
When life frowns at me, I should smile back!
When life is hard, I should smile!
I am well, I am fine
I AM FEARLESS AND BOLD
Then I can meet challenges and life situations, difficult decisions, dealing with difficult people
It's better to face life's challenges than to run away
I am getting more confident
I am healing everyday
I am getting better everyday
I am getting stronger
SMILE, I AM HAPPY!, Say it with feeling and conviction, believe it
I SHOULD HAVE MENTAL TENACITY AND MENTAL RESILIENCE
I SHOULD SAY TO MYSELF :- I AM WONDERFUL, I AM GREAT, I AM FANTASTIC, I AM BRILLIANT, I AM EXCELLENT, I AM POSITIVE
Think it, breathe it, feel it, believe it, live it
Do not worry, other people are feeling paranoid, anxious, self conscious, worried and scared too
I should not feel guilty, bad, beat myself up, give myself a hard time
I AM NOT ALONE
I HAVE THAT CONNECTION WITH OTHER PEOPLE'
