Target Audience
All who have a professional or personal interest in mental health.
Aims of SMHFA
- To preserve life
- To provide help to the mental health problem or crisis devloping into a more serious state
- To promote the recovery of good mental health
- To provide comfort to a person experiencing distress
- To promote understanding of mental health issues
By the end of the training participants will have considered: attitudes, recovery, alcohol & drugs, suicide, listening skills, self-harm, depression, anxiety, and psychosis.
All participants will be given a copy of the SMHFA manual and a certificate on completion of the course.
Trainer information
Stuart Campbell is a member of the national training team for SMHFA and has contributed to the design of the programme.
