Supporting parents, carers & families living in South Edinburgh to develop their skills and confidence.

Altogether Better supports parents and carers to make new relationships and strengthen their connections with family, friends, neighbours and the community.

It runs in the communities of Burdiehouse, Southhouse, Gracemount, Liberton, Gilmerton, Moredun and the Inch.

Activities include:

Relaxation programmes
Complementary therapies, yoga and reducing stress
Getting active
Walking, cycling, dance or gardening
Fun with food
Growing food, cooking and eating meals together
Play programmes and activities
At home, indoors and outdoors
Support groups
Parents supporting each other to deal with the challenges of bringing up children
Befriending
Support from a volunteer befriender to help build confidence and skills. Please click here for more information.

Altogether Better is based in Gracemount and is part of Health in Mind. It is managed alongside South Edinburgh Healthy Living Initiative (SEHLI) – a community health project working with local people and groups to develop programmes that enhance health and wellbeing.
