Substance Misuse/MH Project Worker

CLEAR Mental Health / Substance Misuse Project Worker 

Hours:  24 hours/week, 4 x 6 hour days
Salary:  AP4 pt 27 - £22,779 pro-rata 36.25 hours/week (fixed)
Location:  based initially in Bonnyrigg, likely to move to Dalkeith later in the year
Contract Length:  31st March 2018
 

You will play a key role in helping to deliver an exciting and well-evaluated peer support approach to working with substance misuse and mental health.

Working alongside a Peer Support Worker and reporting to a Senior Project Worker, you will lead ongoing developing and oversee the delivery of CLEAR (Community Lived Experience of Alcohol and Drug Recovery) to meet its goals and targets.  CLEAR is funded by Meldap.

As part of the team, you will be involved in recruiting, matching and training potential peer support volunteers, assessing and supporting people who want to access the service, running groups and a drop-in and promoting CLEAR's work in Mid/East Lothian.

You will have relevant experience, including working with groups and one to one with adults who have mental health / substance misuse needs, with experience of supporting and supervising volunteers and unplanned / crisis intervention work.  You will also have experience of using a community development approach and monitoring, evaluation and reporting on project outcomes.
