Dates for 2013:

Benefits and Disabilities - 30th April 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Health in Mind

There have been a lot of changes recently to the benefits system. Are you unsure about how these changes will affect you? This April we will be having a free informal session, talking about benefits and disabilities.

We are having a guest speaker from Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living (LCIL), which is a user-controlled organisation which supports disabled people to live independently. Kirstie Henderson will be talking to us about the recent welfare reforms, and in particular, Personal Independence Payments.

There will also be coffee tea and some treats provided! The session is free to attend, although due to limited space we ask people to please book a place. For more information or to book please call 0131 243 0106 or email information@health-in-mind.org.uk

Hearing Voices – 28th May 2pm to 4pm at Health in Mind

Hearing voices means that someone hears things, mainly voices, that others do not. Some people can find this very scary and overwhelming whilst others may find their voices comforting. We are holding an information session which will be very informal, to provide you with some more information about hearing voices.

The session will cover symptoms of hearing voices, followed by some coping strategies, tips and techniques. All are welcome to attend and the session will be very general. There will also be free coffee, tea and treats as well!

Although the sessions are free we do ask people to book due to limited space. For more information or to book please call 0131 243 0106 or email information@health-in-mind.org.uk
